The Power of Presence in Turbulent Times

7:00 PM beginning January 26, 2008 with Classes every other week on February 9 and 23, March 9 and 23, April 6 and 20, and May 4, 2008.

An 8 week group to dissolve fear and step into Presence, and live from the consciousness of the Heart.

The text for this group will be The New Earth by Eckhart Tolle.

Old systems based on separation, and fear are breaking down. The new earth paradigm embodies a shift in consciousness from an egoic based reference of separation and suffering to the openness and trust of this moment. This "consciousness of the Heart" dissolves resistance, and opens us to undefended love and Presence. This is our true nature and we can encourage the flowering of this in each other.

Breath-work, group process, dyad work, and meditation will be used to enter the portals of Now, and to dissolve false identification and the illusion of separateness.

These portals as described by Eckhart Tolle in the "Power of Now" are:
Witnessing
Being Here
Dissolving the pain body,
The Inner Body and "Chi"
The Heart meditation (Tonglen,) and Spiritual Inquiry-"Who am I?" (as taught by Ramana Maharshi and Papa-Ji) will be used.

The group instructor, Surja Jessup, has studied with Eckhart Tolle and attended 2 retreats with him for facilitating Power of Now groups.In addition she met Papa-ji (Hari Lal Poonja) in Lucknow India in 1992. He revealed to her that the Self is ever-present and always here, and we only need to recognize this Self that we already are, to find the happiness we are searching for.
